Living Free The “Living Free” program was offered in North Kingstown on Mondays from July 27 to August 31, 2009. “Living Free” helped people find freedom from habits that hurt. Everyone is invited to attend the follow-up sessions that are designed to support those who completed the program so they can continue "living free." These new sessions are also open to the public so that others can learn how to live free of harmful addictions. “Living Free” will continue on a regular basis as a community service in the Wickford Seventh-day Adventist Church, 8050 Post Road, North Kingstown. For more information, or to reserve a seat, call 401-539-3418, or email BiLL144@mac.com. Reservations are required because space is limited and the sessions will be held on a different schedule. For directions, click HERE or on "contact us". Here is some more information about the program from a news release. “Habits are friends when they are good ones. But habits can become chains,” commented Maggie Dunder, program director. “Living Free examines how addictions work and outlines practical keys for breaking any bad habit. Topics covered are obesity and food addictions, substance addictions, prescription addiction, smoking and alcohol addiction, entertainment and internet addictions, and behavioral addictions such as gambling and pornography. Don't let bad habits hold you hostage - learn how to get free and stay free!” “This is the first time in RI that the ‘Living Free’ program was offered. We were pleased to make it available,” noted Bill Warcholik, pastor of the church that hosted the program.
